1/10/21 "Living To Serve"

5 Minutes Of Focus

"Living To Serve"

When Jesus went into Peter’s house [in Capernaum], He saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her; and she got up and served Him.
Matthew 8:14‭-‬15 AMP

BELOVED, You were healed or you remain healed for one reason ONLY...You are the body of Christ. You are His Body.  Now that he has ascended back to the Father...He needs your body to give him physical access into this world.

So, Like Peter's mother-in-law you can't just stay in bed, sick, feeling however you're feeling. If he has touched you and blessed you with another day  of life... You have been called to be servant.

Strength is for service, not status.
Rom15:1-2 MSG

Present your bodies a LIVING sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom12:1 KJV

Apparently, Peter's mother-in-law understood that, because she got up out of that bed and served, she served Jesus. She was a mother and like most mothers, she probably didn't know what it was, to not be doing something, not be serving somebody in some capacity.

So, It's not surprising that when her fever broke, she got up and started doing what she knew to do.

You see, you don't have to be some well known Apostle or Prophet to serve. Start doing what you know to do.

Onesiphorus didn't have a title, but because he refreshed the Apostle Paul, he was there for him when others were ashamed, he's mentioned in 2 Timothy 1:16 KJV, because he served.

As for me, I used to have a letter writing/ text messaging ministry (which some still remember) before going FULL time with Prolific Fire on Blog Talk Radio 8 years ago...Serving prophetically to the hurting.

The point is: You're living to serve, so serve. Start doing what you know to do and God will take over the rest.
I'm a living witness...Serve.

Jesus' return is closer than ever before, be found serving  Him by serving somebody else.
Amen.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40 NIV

Until Next Sunday.
