5/24/26 "At The Command Of Your Mouth "

"At The Command Of Your Mouth"
[14] Later Elisha asked Gehazi, “What can we do for her?” Gehazi replied, “She doesn’t have a son, and her husband is an old man.” [15] “Call her back again,” Elisha told him. When the woman returned, Elisha said to her as she stood in the doorway, [16] “Next year at this time you will be holding a son in your arms!” “
2 Kings 4:14-16 NLT

Notice that Elisha didn't consult God BEFORE deciding to prophesy to the woman.

When you are in right standing with God, you can speak a thing and it will come to pass.

When you are in right standing with God, God trust your mouth. And what you speak, He performs.
Elisha in 2 Kings 4 is one of the clearest biblical examples of this truth.
---

In 2 Kings 4:16  Elisha says to her:
“Next year at this time you will be holding a son in your arms!”

 Notice what’s missing:
- No prayer
- No consultation
- No “Let me ask the Lord”
- No waiting for a word
Elisha spoke from his spirit, and God backed it.

God trusts the mouth of the righteous.
 Psalm 37:4 says:
“He will give you the desires of your heart.” Not just grant them.
He will give them, meaning He puts His desires inside you. So when you speak, you’re speaking His will without needing a meeting.

๐ŸŒพ The Shunammite Woman Story Proves That:
When you walk in right standing, when you walk in intimacy with God, your words become creative instruments.

Elisha didn’t need to ask God because God had already formed the word in his spirit.

๐Ÿ“– Other Scriptures That Confirm This Principle:

1. Job 22:28
“Thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee

.”2. Numbers 14:28
“As you have spoken in My ears, so will I do

”3. Mark 11:23
“You shall have whatsoever you say.”

4. 2 Kings 2:15
“The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.”
The mantle carried creative authority.

5. 1 Samuel 3:19
“The Lord did not let any of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.”

Elisha didn’t speak because he heard a word. He spoke because he was a word.

When your life is aligned with God, you too have the ability to become a word and prophesy it out.

So, What are waiting for? Prophesy!! Dry bones are waiting to come together at the command of your mouth.
Ezekiel 37

5/17/26 "Afraid To Hope "

5/17/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Afraid To Hope"
[15] “Call her back again,” Elisha told Gehazi. When the woman returned, Elisha said to her as she stood in the doorway, [16] “Next year at this time you will be holding a son in your arms!” “No, my lord!” she cried. “O man of God, don’t deceive me and get my hopes up like that."
2 Kings 4:15-16 NLT

Even though in Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) the bible says, Faith is the substance of things hoped for...Many of you are afraid to hope.

SOMEBODY:
It's not that you don't want it; you want it, but you're afraid to hope for it, because you remember the last time you got your hopes up and was let down. So, you're not too quick to hope. You're afraid to hope.

God says, It's not that what you're hoping for is wrong, it is right. SOMEBODY: IT IS RIGHT, but it's time is not yet.

Notice in 2 Kings 4: Elisha didn't just prophesy to the woman about a child, but he gave her a time. TIMING IS EVERYTHING!!

๐Ÿ‘‰You can hope all you want, but if your timing is off...

๐Ÿ‘‰Ask God for His timing. Take it off your calendar, and put it on His calendar.

What does God's calendar look like, what does His calendar sound like?

His calendar looks & sounds a lot like:

Habakkuk 2:3 NLT
[3] This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

[22] At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
Isaiah 60:22 NLT

๐Ÿ‘‰So, Beloved, Don't be afraid to hope. The woman Elisha prophesied to in 2 Kings 4 did end up having a son a year later.

๐Ÿ‘‰It's about timing.
Ask God for His timing.

๐Ÿ‘‰Sometimes, We get in our own way, hoping for something and basing it on when the world says we are ready for it or when the people around us, family members say we should have had it already.

๐Ÿ‘‰Don't do that, but definitely hope. Make God your partner in hope. Consult Him & Not THEM.
Amen!!

"Imagine"
[25] Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
John 19:25 NIV

Imagine Mary (the mother of Jesus) near the cross that day, watching Jesus suffer.

Imagine watching your child go through something (as a mother) and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

Imagine your child being mocked.
Jesus was mocked in Matt 27:27-31

Imagine your child (as a mother) being bullied and there is no one you can report it to, that would even care to hear the truth.

Imagine your child being grown and not saying anything about what they're going through.

Imagine your child being grown and CHOOSING to stay in their current circumstances. Jesus chose the cross!! ✝️

Imagine (as a mother) being forced to respect your grown child's wishes, even though it's not what you would have wanted for them.
Mary had no choice, she had to except that the cross was something Jesus had to bear.

Imagine your child (grown or not), crying out because they feel foraken, because they feel abandoned by their father.
From the cross, Jesus cried out:
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Psalms 22:1 NIV

Now, Imagine (as a mother) standing in the gap for your child in more ways than they could ever imagine.

Imagine being Mary (the mother of Jesus) that day near the cross.

Imagine it being your life, your child from day to day....
Because for many of you... This is your reality.

There are women who could never carry the type of cross you're carrying with such grace.

๐Ÿ’œ Happy Mother's Day!! ๐Ÿ’œ

5/3/26 "Think Again!!"

5/3/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Think Again!!"
[6] When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. [7] Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. [8] Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. [9] But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” [10] He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” [11] And God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
Genesis 3:6-11 NIV

Beloved,
There isn't anything wrong with what you want to do...It just hasn't been GOD APPROVED.

 So, The question is:
Are you willing to take a chance on something GOD NEVER APPROVED OF, just because it looks good, just because you know there isn't anything technically wrong with what you want to do?

When Eve saw that fruit was good, saw there wasn't anything wrong with it....That's exactly what she did. She went for it, she took a chance and ate what looked good to her and she even went so far as to give some to her husband, and he ate it. He wasn't deceived (Read:
1 Tim 2:14 KJV), but because he loved his wife....HE KNEW BETTER and yet he sinned.

If you're thinking about doing something because it looks good to you or you're thinking about doing something because you love that person....THINK AGAIN!!

[23] “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.
1 Corinthians 10:23 NIV

So, Think Again!!
Going for what looked good or doing it because of love COST BOTH Adam & Eve dearly:
๐Ÿ‘‰They went from being comfortable in their own skin to being fearful.
๐Ÿ‘‰They went from trusting God to trying to hide their sin from God.
๐Ÿ‘‰They went from being supernaturally clothed in grace to being naked (exposed) and in need of God's mercy.

All because what they did was not GOD APPROVED....
Think Again!! Is it really worth the risk?

4/26/26 "At His Feet"

4/26/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"At His Feet"
[39] Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught.
[40] But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” [41] But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! [42] There is only one thing worth being concerned about....
Luke 10:39-42 NLT

How would you feel, if God told you all that worrying you're doing right now is unnecessary?

As a matter of fact, out of everything that has your attention right now, ONLY ONE thing is needed.

Don't get mad because that other person chose not to do everything you're doing. Instead, Learn how to protect your peace.

It's easy to get distracted, to get busy, to get overwhelmed and worried and start trying to blame others....

When all God wants is for you to slow down, sit at His feet and realize that only one thing out of every thing you're doing is needed.

In other words, much of what you're doing can wait. Like Martha, you're worried and upset over details that really do seem so small, when compared to what's really important.

Sit at His feet and learn from Him how to protect your peace, how to be at peace even though, the world, itself is not peaceful.  Sit at His feet and learn to be content like Apostle Paul said.
He let the Philippian church know in Philippians 4:11 (NIV)
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

To be content whatever the circumstances that type of peace takes maturity. You have to be grown (for real) to understand that type of peace.

So, Go sit at His feet and grow in maturity!!

๐Ÿ‘‰It's time to be at peace.
๐Ÿ‘‰It's time to be content whatever the circumstances.

4/19/26 "Thankful For The Scars"

4/19/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Thankful For The Scars"
[24-25] But Thomas, sometimes called the Twin, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples told him, “We saw the Master.” But he said, “Unless I see the nail holes in his hands, put my finger in the nail holes, and stick my hand in his side, I won’t believe it.” [26] Eight days later, his disciples were again in the room. This time Thomas was with them. Jesus came through the locked doors, stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.” [27] Then he focused his attention on Thomas. “Take your finger and examine my hands. Take your hand and stick it in my side. Don’t be unbelieving. Believe.”
John 20:24-27 MSG

BELOVED,
What you went through was not just for you... It's left scars for a reason.

You were meant to be a walking testimony, the answer to someone else's doubt, just like Jesus was the answer to Thomas' doubt.

You were meant to go out your way to help build someone else's faith. There is no such thing as it don't take all that.

If Jesus could go out of His way to be there for Thomas, go out of His way to focus on Thomas....Who are you to say, you can't be there for that person who is showing signs that they need you?

You have been picked, chosen to be the one that can reach that person. Jesus went back a 2nd time to a house He had just visited 8 days prior (8 means New Beginning).
He went back because He knew without Him, Thomas would never believe what the other disciples were telling him.

๐Ÿ‘‰What if you are the key ๐Ÿ”‘ to that person's new beginning?
๐Ÿ‘‰What if their faith will never be full without you?
๐Ÿ‘‰What if they can't believe them, but for some reason they will believe it, if it comes from you?
๐Ÿ‘‰Can you sacrifice some of your time, and go back a 2nd time for them?
๐Ÿ‘‰If not for them, do for it Jesus. Show them your scars, even if you scars still feel to you like open wounds.

Until Next Sunday,

4/12/26 "Don't Feel Bad "

4/12/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Don't Feel Bad"
[3] When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. [4] Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” [5] So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. [6] Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” [7] Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
Acts 3:3-7 NIV

Don't feel bad because you gave what you had,
and it was nothing like what they asked for.

Don't feel bad because sometimes, the person asking for help has no idea what they really need.

Money answers all things (Ecclesiates 10:19 KJV), but no where in the bible does it say or even imply that money fixes all things.

There's a noticeable difference between answering and fixing an issue.

If I pick up the phone when you call....That's me answering, but if God blesses me to fix what you didn't even know was the main source of your problem?

Which one serves the greater good?

Well, That's what Peter & John did when they were approached by a cripple beggar on their way into The Temple.

They gave him what they had and it wasn't money because silver and gold was something they didn't have.

Instead, They helped the cripple beggar to get back up on his feet, and that's nothing to feel bad about.

You helped them to get back up on their feet, you helped them reclaim their self- esteem, you help them stop begging.

What more can a person really desire?
You helped them start over using what you had.

So, One more time, God wants me to tell you... Don't feel bad. It's actually a good thing that you didn't have what they asked for.  It was a good thing Peter and John didn't have what that crippled beggar asked for because what was needed was so much deeper and life-changing than money in itself could ever be.

Think About it and keep giving what you have, when you can.
You are making a difference in somebody's life.

Until Next Sunday.
