 "I Wish You Joy!!"

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Nehemiah 8:10 NIV

And many of you that's what you need...You need the joy of the Lord - something that's going to give you strength.

Happiness is good, but happiness doesn't provide you with any kind of strength.

So, I wish you joy!!

Beloved,

Forget those things which are behind and reach forward to those things which are ahead....

Philip 3:13 NKJV

I need you to keep that mindset of looking ahead and DO NOT get pulled back into the past like Lot's wife (Gen 19:26)

SOMEBODY needs you to endure the cross of what you're going through so that they can endure theirs, you need to be able to wipe your face (wipe your tears), so that they can wipe theirs.

Your life is ministering to somebody without you even saying a word. They are watching 👀 your actions, following your lead. So be mindful that you're not just going through what you're going through for you. It's for somebody else too!!

💛 In several places in the Word of God, tears are associated with joy:

💛 Psalms 126:5-6 NIV

[5] Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. [6] Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.

💛 Psalms 30:5 NKJV

Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

So, Endure what you're going through and get ready to receive the joy promised to you.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Psalms 23:1 NKJV

If you are a Christian...

God doesn't want you to want.

You shall not want.

The bible defines "not want" in this scripture as lacking nothing. (NIV)

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 

God doesn't want you to want.

You shall not want.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 

God doesn't want you to want. 

You shall not want.

What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! ”

Matthew 7:7-11 NKJV

God doesn't want you to want.

You shall not want.

I heard the Holy Spirit say, "Wanting is a sin"...

Wanting is a sin when you serve a God "BIG" enough to deliver.

You do not have because you do not ask God. 

James 4:2 NIV

And then, in 1 Timothy 6:17 NIV The bible talks about how God richly gives us ALL things to enjoy.

Beloved,

God doesn't want you to want.

You shall not want.

 

Let that minister to your spirit.

"Loving You Through Your Trauma"

[15] So Elisha said, “Call her.” When Gehazi had called her, she stood in the doorway. [16] Then Elisha said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!”

II Kings 4:15-16 NKJV

Keep in mind....

God is our father 1st, above everything else.

So, He sometimes chooses to give us time to grow into the prophecy, time to grow into what He promised rather than overwhelm us all at once.

In ll Kings 4: The Shununmite woman's response leads me to believe that she had experienced some type of trauma in her past.

So, Rather than allow her to be overwhelmed with an immediate pregnancy announcement....

Elisha (The Man Of God) prophesied, "About this time next year...."

This is God...Loving the Shunammite woman through her trauma issues by givng her time (ONE YEAR) to process what she just heard, one year to receive what she just heard.

Beloved, The last thing God would do right now is add to your trauma and expect you to be okay.

He knows you need time to process what you just heard, time to receive what you just heard.

SOME OF YOU...

God knows you need time to just sit with what has become your reality... "that you may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV

[41] At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. [42] Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, “God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed. [43] Why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should visit me?

Luke 1:41-43 NLT

Right now, Somebody could come in the room where you are, speak to you and make you smile or that same somebody could come in the room where you are right now, say something to you and make you so mad. 

Either way, they have what it takes to make your flesh react. There's nothing special about that.

But when you find that person who can speak to you and something as simple as a greeting from them ministers to what's in you, ministers to what you're carrying; the way that Mary greeted Elizabeth and caused the baby in her to leap...

That's the person you want to visit you, to stay close to you, to pour into you because that's the person YOUR SPIRIT knows it can trust.

Elizabeth knew she could trust Mary. More importantly, Elizabeth’s spirit knew it was okay to trust Mary.

I pray you find that person who causes what's in you to leap, that person who makes your spirit feel at ease.

That person who speaks into your hopes & dreams. 

But until then...

BELOVED, Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.....

DON'T BE TAKEN OUT BY YOUR WEAKNESS!!

"Out Of Season"

[14] The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. [15] All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. [16] I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. [17] Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”

Genesis 13:14-17 NIV

Some people are out of season for you. It's not that they're a bad person, they very well may be the perfect person for the season someone else is in.

But for you, It's a hard NO!! You see, Beloved, Some relationships are like clothes that were in style back in the day; it was a good fit back then, but NOT ANYMORE!!

Abram & Lot were a good fit (uncle & nephew) back at the house, but when God told Abram to leave his father's house in Genesis 12 and Lot went with him...

What they couldn't foresee is that they would get up the road together, begin to build together and THINGS CHANGE. They would need to go their seperate ways.

Sometimes, You can't see how a person is delaying what God has for you UNTIL they have moved out the way.

When Lot parted from him, when he  moved out the way, the amount of blessings God had in store for Abram was mind blowing...Trying to see it all, take it all in required great faith.

Do you have enough faith in this season to let some people go, to let that person go? They are out of season for a reason. Let God show you the reason.

Food for thought...

"Are You Still Angry?"

[5] For His anger is but for a moment....

Psalms 30:5 NKJV

"For His anger is but for a moment." The 1st 8 words of Psalms 30:5 are powerful.

It's a reminder that anger that is associated with God or the God kind of anger doesn't last for a decade.

So, Those of you still angry over something that happened 10 years ago or longer...That's not Godly anger.

"A moment" in Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) refers to the Hebrew word רֶגַע — rega, which means an instant, a very brief, passing point in time. 

God’s anger — lasts only rega, the smallest imaginable unit of time.

The perfect example of Godly anger is when Jesus went into The Temple and turned over the tables and put an end to what was going on in there. Matthew 21:12-13 NIV

Jesus did what He had to do. Then He let it go!! He didn't carry the anger that occurred IN HIM in that moment for another 10 years and there is no reason you should be carrying a decade worth of anger inside of who you are, either.

SOMEBODY:

The Holy Spirit desires to live in you, to express Himself through you, but He refuses to live in you alongside the anger you're still carrying. 

Ephesians 4:30 tells us to not grieve the Holy Spirit. So, Beloved, It's time you let go of the anger. 

Ephesians 4:26 tells us not let the sun go down on our wrath which means anger is not suppose to linger overnight and certainly not for a decade.

It's time you open up, let that anger go and let the Holy Spirit show how much greater having Him inside of you can be (1 John 4:4) versus the anger that's had you bound for far too long.

Father God,

Deliver them from the past, from the anger they are still carrying.

"Stewarding Your Mind"

[35] On the same day, when evening had come, Jesus said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” [36] Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. [37] And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. [38] But Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. 

Mark 4:35-38 NKJV

How is possible for the disciples & Jesus to be in the same atmosphere, but be experiencing two different scenarios. The disciples were in the midst of a storm, but not Jesus...Jesus was on a pillow, asleep.

2 different experiences, 2 different scenarios going on in the same atmosphere.

Could it be that the disciples were in the midst of a storm, because it was 1st a storm in their mind?

And could it be that Jesus was asleep, because He had peace in His mind that manifested itself outwardly as rest?

Beloved,

Whatever is going on in your mind, if your mind is all over the place, if there is a lot of chaos and confusion going on in your mind, the atmosphere around you will look like what's going on in your mind.

BEFORE we are good stewards over any material thing God blesses us with...We must 1st be good stewards over our minds.

That's why the bible tells us to let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 2:5 KJV

This mind - there is a certain type of mind we are expected to have. We are expected to have a mind like Christ or a Christ-like mind.

A Christ- like mind is a mind controlled by categories.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Philippians 4:8 KJV

These are categories. Ask yourself, if what you're thinking fits in any of these categories.  

Is your mind full of peace like Jesus or like the disciples in Mark 4, is there a category 5 type of storm brewing behind the doors of your mind, just waiting to manifest itself?
