4/19/26 "Thankful For The Scars"

"Thankful For The Scars"
[24-25] But Thomas, sometimes called the Twin, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples told him, “We saw the Master.” But he said, “Unless I see the nail holes in his hands, put my finger in the nail holes, and stick my hand in his side, I won’t believe it.” [26] Eight days later, his disciples were again in the room. This time Thomas was with them. Jesus came through the locked doors, stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.” [27] Then he focused his attention on Thomas. “Take your finger and examine my hands. Take your hand and stick it in my side. Don’t be unbelieving. Believe.”
John 20:24-27 MSG

BELOVED,
What you went through was not just for you... It's left scars for a reason.

You were meant to be a walking testimony, the answer to someone else's doubt, just like Jesus was the answer to Thomas' doubt.

You were meant to go out your way to help build someone else's faith. There is no such thing as it don't take all that.

If Jesus could go out of His way to be there for Thomas, go out of His way to focus on Thomas....Who are you to say, you can't be there for that person who is showing signs that they need you?

You have been picked, chosen to be the one that can reach that person. Jesus went back a 2nd time to a house He had just visited 8 days prior (8 means New Beginning).
He went back because He knew without Him, Thomas would never believe what the other disciples were telling him.

👉What if you are the key 🔑 to that person's new beginning?
👉What if their faith will never be full without you?
👉What if they can't believe them, but for some reason they will believe it, if it comes from you?
👉Can you sacrifice some of your time, and go back a 2nd time for them?
👉If not for them, do for it Jesus. Show them your scars, even if you scars still feel to you like open wounds.

Until Next Sunday,

4/12/26 "Don't Feel Bad "

"Don't Feel Bad"
[3] When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. [4] Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” [5] So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. [6] Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” [7] Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
Acts 3:3-7 NIV

Don't feel bad because you gave what you had,
and it was nothing like what they asked for.

Don't feel bad because sometimes, the person asking for help has no idea what they really need.

Money answers all things (Ecclesiates 10:19 KJV), but no where in the bible does it say or even imply that money fixes all things.

There's a noticeable difference between answering and fixing an issue.

If I pick up the phone when you call....That's me answering, but if God blesses me to fix what you didn't even know was the main source of your problem?

Which one serves the greater good?

Well, That's what Peter & John did when they were approached by a cripple beggar on their way into The Temple.

They gave him what they had and it wasn't money because silver and gold was something they didn't have.

Instead, They helped the cripple beggar to get back up on his feet, and that's nothing to feel bad about.

You helped them to get back up on their feet, you helped them reclaim their self- esteem, you help them stop begging.

What more can a person really desire?
You helped them start over using what you had.

So, One more time, God wants me to tell you... Don't feel bad. It's actually a good thing that you didn't have what they asked for.  It was a good thing Peter and John didn't have what that crippled beggar asked for because what was needed was so much deeper and life-changing than money in itself could ever be.

Think About it and keep giving what you have, when you can.
You are making a difference in somebody's life.

Until Next Sunday.

"JESUS, Thank You For The Garden!!"
Jesus,
Everybody wants to talk about The Cross and overlook what you went through, BEFORE you even got to The Cross.

But Not me, I can't just bypass The Garden and go straight to The Cross and forget about how you were betrayed by one of your own, betrayed by somebody close to you, betrayed by the one you gave a title,  the one you gave a position, the one you gave purpose.

Jesus, Thank You For The Garden!!

Because I cannot forget how you were  deeply grieved in The Garden. YOU ALMOST DIED of sorrow (right there in The Garden) and all you wanted was somebody to pray for you, the way you had prayed for them, be there for you, the way you had been for them.

Jesus, Thank You For The Garden!!

My heart aches knowing the disciples were there, but you STILL felt alone in everything you went through.

My heart aches knowing you were stressed out in The Garden to the point that your tears were like drops of blood.

YET, It's the bloody tears that fell from your body that gave me my mind back.

Because for many of us, the 1st thing sin took was our mind.

And The disciples you chose were there, but they were asleep, they were sleeping while you were pacing, going back and forth in The Garden. 1 x, 2 x, 3xs you went to them for help and found them asleep.

The same disciples you taught to pray in Luke 11:1 were not praying with you, keeping watch with you when you needed them to help carry the weight of the spiritual warfare you were feeling.

Jesus,
I repent for not being there when you needed me,  for not being where you need me to be, vigilant and on my post.

My heart aches when I think about how Judas betrayed you for 21.60

How he put a price tag on his relationship with you.
How at the end of the day, you didn't mean more to Judas than a measly $21.60.

And how sleep was more important to the other disciples than staying awake, watching with the one that had watched over them time after time.

You never sleep nor slumbered on them (Psalm 121:3), but they couldn't stand guard over you, stay awake with you for 1 hour.

Jesus,
All you needed was an hour (60 minutes) and many of us fail to give you that.

Nothing is sacred anymore.  I don't think we even know the meaning of the word.

Judas deliberately brought your enemies into The Garden. John 18:2 says HE KNEW the place... It was a place you had often shared with your disciples (it was a sacred space), but still....

Jesus, Thank You For The Garden!!

Thank you for praying YOURSELF through and giving up YOUR WILL -your desire to have that cup (of wrath) pass from you, for me.
Thank you for choosing The Father’s Will Over Your Own.

Until Next Sunday.

3/29/26 "Divine Assistance "

3/29/26

"Divine Assistance "
[41] Jesus walked away, about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, [42] “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” [43] Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him.
Luke 22:41-43 NLT

When you give to God what you don't want to give, when you give to God "that thing", that situation that is HARD for you to give...That's when you get divine assistance, that's when you get help from Heaven.

Jesus got help from Heaven when in mid- sentence, He changed His focus from what He wanted to see happen and started agreeing that the Will Of God be done instead.

It wasn't easy, but Jesus did it. Jesus did what He knew needed to be done.

Beloved,
Start agreeing with God even though His way of doing things in this season may not be the way you would have wanted.

Do not run away or shy away from it because it's hard. God wants to send his angel to do more than just encamp around you. Psalms 34:7

God wants that same angel to strengthen you, to assist you in the areas where you are weak, but 1st you must choose to do His will, His way.

No more Burger King fantasies, you can't always have it your way and expect to get the divine assistance you need.

Think about it!!
Somebody: You’re not getting the divine assistance you need, because you refuse to surrender your own will, your wants, the way you wanted to see things go.

You're tired because you need to surrender. Divine Assistance is available. Strength will come, you just have to learn to let go and trust God.

Sometimes,
Leaning not on your own understanding, but in ALL your ways acknowledging Him is harder than it seems, huh?
Yeah I know.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) can be a hard one, when you STILL want what you want.

I'm praying for you, Friend. 🙏🫶

3/22/26 "This Time It’s For God"

"This Time It’s For God"
[6] Again the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.” “My son,” Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.” [7] Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him. [8] A third time the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.” Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy.
1 Samuel 3:6-8 NIV

3×s God called Samuel.

3 xs God has called  you - representing the different seasons of your life, but because the voice sounded familiar, you kept running to people like Samuel did Eli, expecting them to say it was them.

It was God all along calling you. He needs you to stop running to people who have no idea what you're talking about, because they didn't call you and listen for His instructions.

You think that affliction was sent to hurt you, but God allowed it, so that your ears would finally be open, ready to listen.

And NOW that you're out of what you were in....GOD RESCUED YOU...Are you ready to listen?

[15] He rescues the afflicted in their affliction, And opens their ears [so that they pay attention to His voice] in times of oppression.
Job 36:15 AMP

He's calling you by name just like He called Samuel. Give Him your "Yes Lord!!"

This is your season to be the person God needs you to be for Him. For too many seasons, you have been the person you wanted to be or who others needed you to be. This season right here is for God.

[36] For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Romans 11:36 NIV

3/15/26 "Can I Get A Witness?"

3/15/26

#5MinutesofFocus

"Can I Get A Witness?!!"
[7-8] A woman, a Samaritan, came to draw water. Jesus said, “Would you give me a drink of water?” (His disciples had gone to the village to buy food for lunch.)
●She gives Jesus a drink & they continue talking...
[25] The woman said, “I don’t know about that. I do know that the Messiah is coming. When he arrives, we’ll get the whole story.” [26] “I am he,” said Jesus. “You don’t have to wait any longer or look any further.” [27] Just then his disciples came back. They were shocked. They couldn’t believe he was talking with that kind of a woman. No one said what they were all thinking, but their faces showed it.
John 4:7-8, 25-27 MSG

Some people that SHOULD know better don't always ACT as if they know better....
But don't let how they treated you stop you from being a witness of how good God has been to you.

What if the woman at the well had gotten in her feelings because of the way the disciples were looking at her and decided NOT to tell anyone about the real encounter she just had with Jesus in John Chapter 4?

Yes, They should have known better than to act the way they did...But that's no reason for you to get in your feelings.

The woman at the well left her water pot there in the midst of 'the look" the disciples were giving her, in the midst of what "she could" tell they were thinking about her....And she witnessed!!

The bible says in verses 28-30 (MSG) that she went and told the people in the village to come see a man, she invited them to Jesus.

When was the last time, you moved passed your feelings, moved passed how they were looking at you, talking about you and invited someone to Jesus?

Witness for Jesus in spite of how a few of His disciples have made you feel.

Until Next Sunday.

"Transforming, Changing"

#Repost

Transforming, Changing
6 Now Joseph was the governor of the land, the person who sold grain to all its people. So when Joseph’s brothers arrived, they bowed down to him with their faces to the ground.
7 As soon as Joseph saw his brothers, he recognized them, but he pretended to be a stranger and spoke harshly to them. “Where do you come from?” he asked. “From the land of Canaan,” they replied, “to buy food.” 8 Although Joseph recognized his brothers, they did not recognize him.
Genesis 42:6‭-‬8 NIV

But oh, when he was at home with them, they recognized him as the one they hated, the one they made fun of  etc....

You see, Beloved, Often times, God will use painful situations like this from your childhood to transform you.

So, now they don't even recognize him.  And so, Joseph ended up being  sold into slavery (removed from his brother's mistreatment of him). Even though, slavery seemed like something worse, it wasn't.
In what was supposed to be slavery, Joseph became a leader, when all he was before was a follower, following up in behind his brothers, talking too much, wanting to be liked, wanting to be accepted.
Genesis 37 & Genesis 39

SOMEBODY: God is using the pain to transform you, change you from being the person they always pushed around, talked about, and cruelly dismissed. Even though you desperately wanted their acceptance, God didn't allow it because you're better than that. There is a leader in you that will re-define the order of things.

But in order to get you to lead, step out of the shadows and SHINE, God had to allow the pain. The pain is what's pushing you into transformation, into your changing position.

So, Now you've come to realize the hard truth, that you don't need as much help as before, as back when you were a child.

Childish things you are now prepared to leave behind. 1 Corinthians 13:11....and when God gets through transforming you like Joseph those that hurt you won't even recognize you. There is so much more to be gained.
Selah- Pause & Think About That.

Until Next Sunday.
