3/26/23 "Careless Words"

3/26/23

5 Minutes of Focus

"Careless Words"
Careless words stab like a sword, but wise words bring healing.
Proverbs 12:18 NCV

Some of you right now are "secretly" nursing a stab wound....Physically, you look uninjured, but every time you hear certain words or you think of a certain person; the hurt is triggered.

You remember, what they said to you and it's like being stabbed all over again;
careless words stabbing at your emotions like a sword.

At least in John 18 when Peter cut off that Roman soldier's ear with his sword, the damage was seen immediately...Unlike some of you who have been carrying an internal sword wound for years (unnoticed).

Sadly, Your pain has gone unnoticed because most people don't stop to think about the power of their words...They just say whatever they feel like saying.

They don't even think about how you possibly could be feeling, not only is their words care-less, they are care-less.

But not God...He made a point of calling this type of abuse out in scripture saying,

Evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).
Ephesians 4:31 AMPC

●Calling it out as verbal abuse in the AMP

BELOVED, God cares about the verbal abuse you have been through or is currently going through...He will heal your wounds. Give the hurt to Him.

3/19/23 "Miss Me With That, Devil!!"

3/19/23

5 Minutes of Focus

"Miss Me With That, Devil!!"
In My Spirit, I woke up hearing, "Make it old news before it becomes new news that the devil can and will use against you."

Beloved, If you know there is something that if it gets out, (THE WRONG WAY) it has the potential to be very damaging to your character, very damaging to your career...
Why not take control of the gossip, take control of the lies, take control of the devil"s attempt to steal, kill, and destroy.
(John 10:10) by telling the truth NOW, before it blows up in your face with all kinds of lies and misconceptions added.

Think about it:
God has given us a powerful tool to overcome the devil, to shut down the mouth of our enemies...It's called the word of our testimony.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony...
Revelation 12:11 NKJV

Get ahead of any damage by taking control of what you know is bound to come out eventually.

Tell your testimony. Tell the truth so that when it does come out...and people start gossiping about what they heard...

You can stand your ground and let the devil know, " That's old news. The ones who NEEDED to know, already know the truth and have accepted me,  they have forgiven me. Even more so, I have accepted some things and forgiven myself.

So, In the words of Dr. Taketa Williams, "Miss Me With That, Devil!! "

Rev 12:11 from the NIV says, I triumphed over you...In other words, "I Won". The only thing all of that forced me to do is BE HONEST and honesty is a good thing, a GOD thing.

3/12/23 "The Whole Truth "

3/12/23

5 Minutes of Focus

"The Whole Truth"
“Who touched my clothes?"...Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:30, 32-33‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Never be afraid to tell Jesus the whole truth.
People may pick a part your story, criticizing what they don't understand, but not Jesus. He's not going to criticize you for telling the truth, whatever the truth is, whatever the truth consist of...It's okay.

The woman with the issue of blood was trembling with fear...Yet she was the only one who could tell her story, because she was the only one who had lived it .

You see, A lot of people had touched Jesus' clothes that day, but none of them touched Him and had EVERYTHING they'd been going through for YEARS immediately healed the way that she did . So, She neeeded to tell her story.

Not because Jesus didn't know who had touched his clothes...Trust me, He knew. That's not why He asked the question...He asked the question to pull her out of her  comfort zone, to get her back used to being out in public,  after being isolated for so long.

BELOVED, God is pulling you out of your comfort zone...He needs you to tell your story  (tell the whole truth), to break that fear of public speaking that you have. Remember, He has not given you a spirit of fear.  2 Tim 1:7 NKJ

Remember also that the faith someone needs right now is going to come through hearing. Rom 10:17 NKJ

Somebody needs to hear what you've been through, do it to encourage them, do it for people like Jairus listening in and still waiting on a miracle for their daughter, waiting for a miracle to happen in their own bodies, waiting for things to change and be better for them.

Tell your story....Tell the whole truth...Build someone else's faith up today...With the devil aiming to emotionally tear down as many as possible, your voice is needed in this hour....Don't be afraid!!

Remember, That's how you overcome the devil by speaking up and telling your testimony. Hold nothing back!!
Rev 12:11 NKJV

3/5/23 "Re-jection"

3/5/23

5 Minutes of Focus

"Re-jection"
When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord.” But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him...Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass in front of Samuel. But Samuel said, “The Lord has not chosen this one either.” Jesse then had Shammah pass by, but Samuel said, “Nor has the Lord chosen this one.” Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The Lord has not chosen these...”
1 Samuel 16:6‭-‬10 NIV

Re-jection - Re is a prefix meaning to do something again or to repeat something a second time.

It's amazing how we recognize re as being a do over, or a  chance to start over for words like re- build or re-locate, but NOT when it comes to re-jection.

But I am here to tell somebody: That re-jection came to re-direct you. It is your opportunity to be somewhere else, with someone else, doing something else.

Re-jection for you is nothing more than a do over for the mistakes you made, a second chance for you to get it right.

You see, It was a mistake for 7 of Jesse sons to stand before Samuel auditioning to be the next king...The Spirit Of Rejection was being passed down from brother to brother that day 7 xs over.

Learn from Jesus when He was re-jected by his own people. He used their re-jection to connect with a different set of people and offer them, offer us salvation.
John 1:11-12 NLT

In my Spirit, Every time , I say the word " re-jection"...I see God pulling you back to release you again. Re-jection is not failure. You are not too damaged for that right opportunity, you're not too damage for someone to love you. GOD LOVES THE REJECTED ONES...He loved Jesus (even though He was re-jected) and He loves you too. Re-jection is God loving on you.

Until Next Sunday.

2/26/23 "You Deserve Better"

2/26/23

5 Minutes of Focus

 "You Deserve Better "
One of the criminals who had been hanged [on a cross beside Jesus] kept hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us [from death]!” But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? We are suffering justly, because we are getting what we deserve for what we have done; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”
Luke 23:39‭-‬41 AMP

Perhaps, You have been emotionaly scarred by someone who is guilty of everything you've accused them of.

Perhaps, God has allowed you to see their punishment for the wrong that they have done.

Still even in doing so, you feel like you feel. There is no faking your feelings, never has been.

You feel like you deserve better than the abuse you've suffered and you would be right...YOU DO DESERVE BETTER, but here's the thing, You deserve better than that person KNOWS HOW to be!!

They don't know how to be any different than they are. One of the criminals who hung on The Cross with Jesus hadn't changed one bit.

He still was being abusive, and disrespectful up until the end because some people just never change.

But you, don't hang your head and don't cry because your better has a name...His name is Jesus. Only Jesus could hang between two criminals and be unchanged, unbothered.

Despite the pain, Jesus remained true to His assignment. He saved one criminal and the other one, He just let him be.
Luke 23:39-43 NIV

BELOVED, You have to learn to save who you can and who you can't, just let them be and look to Jesus. He is THE BETTER you deserve. So, Focus your eyes & your heart on Him.

[Looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame...

2/19/23 "Step Up"

2/19/23

5 Minutes of Focus

"Step Up!!"
Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go.”
John 18:8 NIV

This is one of my favorite scriptures. It blesses my soul every time I read it...Because here, Jesus is about to be arrested after being betrayed by Judas and STILL HE has the mindset to protect those who had nothing to do with what was about to happen to Him.

Jesus STEPPED UP and let them know that He was THE ONE they were looking for and to let these men go.

This scripture is powerful because it's a reminder to us all about the importance of taking responsibility, not blaming others, and caring for the well-being  of those around us.

So, Just to read that Jesus stepped up and took full responsibility (though He, himself was innocent) and asked that the other men be let go is a refreshing change.

It's a powerful verse especially since we are living among people who wouldn't mind taking us down with them. ..Their mindset being, "If I go down, I'm taking them down with me."

It's the mindset of the devil who wasn't satisfied until he had managed to take 1/3 of the angels with him when he got kicked out of heaven.

And the huge dragon was cast down and out–that age-old serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, he who is the seducer (deceiver) of all humanity the world over; he was forced out and down to the earth, and his angels were flung out along with him.
Revelation 12:9 AMPC

But not Jesus...He didn't want anyone else involved in what His enemies came there to do. So, He spoke up.

Because sometimes being like Jesus means taking it all on yourself, so that others can go free, taking responsibility for what happens next, and being okay with the outcome either way.

That's the kind of God we serve...His name is Jesus; Jesus of Nazareth.

2/12/23 "Trust The Anointing"

2/12/23

5 Minutes of Focus

"Trust The Anointing"
So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
II Kings 4:2 NKJV

Notice how she was quick to tell Elisha she had NOTHING in her house but a jar of oil...She didn't pause to think about it, she just responded.

She looked at the oil SHE DID HAVE as being 1/2 empty (as being NOTHING), when she should have seen that the jar was indeed 1/2 full.

Keep in mind that the bible in
II Kings 4:1 (NKJV) let's us know she had been the wife of one of the sons of the prophets which means that she had been living with a prophet, had been married to a prophet (meaning that as a married couple she had BECOME ONE with a prophet), ONE with the anointing that sees...But she couldn't see? That makes no sense.

Didn't the bible say, He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward?
Matthew 10:41 NKJV

So, She had a reward coming for the years she had, as a wife taken care of her husband and fed the prophetic anointing that was on his life.

But still she couldn’t see past the lack...More than money, she desperately needed to renew her mind.
See: Rom 12:2 (NIV)

Beloved, You need your mind renewed to see as God sees. If He's really your shepherd. Then you have no lack. Psalm 23:1

And if you are saved (for real)...There is an anointing on that house you're living in. Why? Because you live there, you reside there.

Other people shouldn't have to  come to your house and tell you what is the plan of God for your house. Trust the anointing that resides there.

Elisha shouldn't have had to come to her house, because the prophetic anointing  was still there, even though her husband was now dead & gone.

Think About This: It was the prophetic anointing brought in by her deceased husband that still rested on that house and caused the oil to flow & multiple after she had borrowed the vessels.

Until Next Sunday.
