"It Takes A Village"

Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

John 19:25 NIV

As a parent, Never be ashamed of not being able to do it alone.

But thank God for everybody He has placed in your life to assist you.

It really does take a village of support when it comes to the upbringing of our children.

Even Mary (the mother of Jesus) needed support.  Though she was standing near THE CROSS in the final moments of her son's life, she STILL needed support. She wasn't standing there alone.

There, helping her stand, helping her be present in that "most heartbreaking" moment was her sister, and two other women (one of which was Mary Magdalene).

Jesus' mother had a small village of women around her, showing their love & support as Jesus breathed his last..

Why? Because a mother is a mother til' the end.

Therefore, If Mary got to where she was that day with the assistance of other women. Who are you to be ashamed of needing help?

Is your son or daughter greater than the child Mary carried in her womb? Is your son or daughter greater than Jesus?

I don't think so.

You are not superwoman, but you are a super woman, a super mom, but even super moms need help.

Remember; The bible says, Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up...

Ecclesiastes 4:9‭-‬10 NIV

So, Today, Honor your village, those who have helped you get back up when you felt like quitting, those who have helped you stand. Honor the tribe the Lord has provided for you whether you are a single mom, a young mom, a married or widowed mom....

Show honor, show love, but don't forget to honor yourself, to show love towards yourself as well.

Cut yourself some slack.

Stop beating up on yourself.

You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

It really does take a village to get it all done.

5 Minutes of Focus 

"His Great Love"

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us....

1 John 4:16 NIV

At least, that's the way it's supposed to be...We should be relying solely on the love God has for us.

Although, I think we have all (at some point) made  the mistake of relying on the love of people and when their love caved or perhaps we woke up and realized that their love for us was not without conditions, restrictions, and demands.

Either way, All of it would SOON prove to be way too much to mentally digest. The relationship was just too draining.

And all the while, while going through all of that...We had access to a love that is reliable; has always been reliable, a love that got assigned to us when we were unable to help ourselves, back when we were feeling helpless, living a life of sin.

For some reason, God considered that to be the right time...the right time to stage a spiritual intervention and have Christ die for us, and so He did.

According to Rom 5:6-8 NCV... 

That was God's way of showing just how much He loves us, showing just how great His love is for us.

NOW, I want you to think about all that time you've wasted in years passed, relying on the love of people, relying on people, expecting them to be there for you...When all the while, you had access to what the bible calls, "GREAT LOVE"...

Keep In Mind: God's way of showing His great love for us was giving up Jesus; making Him a sacrifice for our sins.

And so,  I think it's time and only fair that we started giving up some things, making some sacrifices for HIM in return...Do it for God. Do it for Jesus!! 

○Turn off the TV to spend more time when Him.

○ Fast- give up physical food for the intake and digestion of more spiritual food, more revelation.

• ONLY if you are healthy enough to do so.

○ Pursue the things you know God told you to do, but you've been procrastinating on out of fear.    

 

 Think About It!!..But don't just think about it, start making some sacrifices....AND I'LL DO THE SAME, WE'LL DO IT TOGETHER. 

To God be the glory!!

"Forgiving Yourself Can Be Hard"

Then he (Pilate) at the request of the people set Barabbas free. But Jesus was beaten with whips and handed over to the soldiers to be crucified.

Matthew 27:25‭-‬26 NCV

The people decided to have Barabbas set free, and to have Jesus crucified. 

Have you ever made a decision based on what you thought you wanted at the time?...

But that one decision ended up hurting someone else and now, you can't take it back, all you can do is try to live with the consequences that followed.

Jesus knows what it feels like to be on the receiving end of that type of hurt, that type of pain.

But yet, He asked The Father to forgive them, because they didn't know what they were doing...Any more than you knew what you were doing.

Luke 23:34 NCV

Be willing to forgive yourself. 

SOMEBODY: You are not the bad person THE DEVIL has made you out to be.

There is forgiveness in God for you, but is there forgiveness in YOU for you?

Even if the person you hurt won't forgive you, the way that Jesus forgave those that hurt Him....Can you forgive yourself?

Heal for yourself.

Think About This:

David knowing what happened with Bathsheba started with Him...He initiated it, he made the first move. He could've went to her in private and apologized for blowing her life

 up. We don't know....

But what the bible does openly share in Psalms 51 is how David went before the Lord asking HIM to create and to renew the parts of him that caused him to sin.

Basically, David was asking the Lord to help him be a better man than the man he had been...And that's all you can do.

That's all you can do....Get alone with the Lord and WORK ON YOU .

"Ancient Users"

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.

Luke 23:34 NLT

They didn't want anything to do with Jesus, but yet they didn't mind gambling for His clothes, taking what He had.

There really is nothing new under the sun.

Eccles 1:9 NIV

People are still using people to this day. They get close to you because they want something  you have, but they are not really interested in getting to know you, they are not interested in YOU!!

That's how some of you got hurt in what you thought was a relationship...The person didn't want you, they only wanted what you had to give them.  As I said and the bible confirms, "There is nothing new under the sun." 

They weren't interested in getting to know the man who was on The Cross, sacrificing his life either. They didn't want to know King Jesus or Savior Jesus, but those must've been some pretty nice garments Jesus was wearing because that's all they wanted.

And still, Jesus chose in the midst of the pain to ask the Father to forgive them.

In that moment, Jesus even though, He was naked and hanging on The Cross showed more heart, more integrity, more love than most. It's ashame that some people will go a lifetime without knowing Him, without knowing Jesus.

Think About This:

The bible says; The gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Matthew 7:14 NLT

Will you find it? Get to know Jesus.

"Sleeping On You"

You have family members that love you, but they are not there for you (like they should be)... Because to be honest;  they can't mentally handle the weight of what you're going through.

So, They have chosen unbeknownst to you to keep their distance...AND as much as you would like them to be in your corner, praying for you right now, supporting you now that's just not possible.

They are sleeping on you, just like the disciples did Jesus. When He needed them the most, they fell asleep on Him.

Therefore, If no one else understands just how it feels to be left alone to PRAY YOURSELF THROUGH, to have to look in the mirror and encourage yourself...Jesus understands.

The bible says, In Matt 26: Jesus came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and He said to Peter, What! Are you so utterly unable to stay awake and keep watch with Me for one hour?

Matthew 26:40 AMPC

It's rough when you need somebody, but you have nobody. The disciples couldn't even sacrifice sleep for one hour to be there for Jesus.

So, How can you expect your family and friends to be any different, especially those who don't know Jesus at all?

But you know what, BELOVED...Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. There is no brother (or sister) biological or otherwise that will stick closer to you than Jesus.

Proverbs 18:24 NKJV

So, Let them sleep. You don't need them...You have Jesus and He more than makes up for them not being there, because He's there. Amen!!

"Be A Stranger"

I am a stranger and a temporary resident on the earth; hide not Your commandments from me.

Psalm 119:19 AMPC

It's time you realize you are not supposed to belong, you are not supposed to fit in and you will never be accepted in some places by some people....

AND HEAR ME: It's Okay!!

You are a stranger here and they will view you as such.

Everything here is temporary for you, so don't over- react to situations, don't over-react to circumstances, not even to the doctor's diagnosis, because it's all temporary.  You are a temporary residence here on this earth. 

Plus, You serve a God that provides and He heals. So, why over- react? Why the over-reaction to what they said etc.

Instead, Choose to use the time you have here wisely.

Time is a gift. Use it wisely.

Psalms 90:12 CEV

Instead of worrying that you are not accepted, instead of bending over backwards trying to fit in with  people who are clearly not meant to be a part of your inner circle....

Focus on you, on your goals...Now is a good time to check some things off of your bucket list, now is good time to do some things you've never done. Now is a good time to ask God about your purpose and heavily pursue it. 

Let the world be the world, but you...You represent God's agenda on this earth and remember that He worked it this way on purpose for a purpose. You don't need everybody liking you.

Rom 8:28 NLT

Therefore, Be a stranger and be glad about it. Your difference carries purpose and that's really what they don't know how to take, when it comes it to you.

But Oh Well ....

4/2/23 "You Got Your Life Back!! "

5 Minutes of Focus 

"You Got Your Life Back!!"

You came near when I called to you; you said, “Don’t be afraid.” Lord, you have taken my case and given me back my life.

Lamentations 3:57‭-‬58 NCV

Beloved,

God has answered your prayer and has given you your life back...So why are you still worried, still overly concerned?

Can't you see that it's the worry,  it's the being overly concerned that's keeping you tied to a situation that's not yours anymore?

God has taken your case, taken your charges, taken your guilt, and the shame (the devil tried to put on you) and given you your life back.

So, Hold your head up like that never was you, because it will never be you in that situation again.

Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].

Romans 8:1 AMP

People don't have the right to condemn you, you don't have the right to condemn you over something that is now a part of your past.

When you gave your life to Jesus, when you gave that situation to Jesus and He agreed to take your case, to be your lawyer, to be your defender....There was nothing more you needed to do other than just to live, live the abundant life Jesus died to give you in John 10:10.

Don't be afraid... Leave your accusers, leave every one of them to Jesus. He knows how to write them off, and give you your freedom (unquestioned) for good.

Remember the woman in John 8, Jesus gave her, her life back even though she had many who accused her...All He asked in return was that she go and sin no more. 

John 8:1-11 NIV

In other words, Don't repeat the same behavior that got you in this mess to begin with. Live your life. You're free!!

God has given you your life back. To God be the glory.
