8/23/26 "Are You Still Angry?"

8/23/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Are You Still Angry?"
[5] For His anger is but for a moment....
Psalms 30:5 NKJV

"For His anger is but for a moment." The 1st 8 words of Psalms 30:5 are powerful.

It's a reminder that anger that is associated with God or the God kind of anger doesn't last for a decade.

So, Those of you still angry over something that happened 10 years ago or longer...That's not Godly anger.

"A moment" in Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) refers to the Hebrew word ืจֶื’ַืข — rega, which means an instant, a very brief, passing point in time.

God’s anger — lasts only rega, the smallest imaginable unit of time.

The perfect example of Godly anger is when Jesus went into The Temple and turned over the tables and put an end to what was going on in there. Matthew 21:12-13 NIV

Jesus did what He had to do. Then He let it go!! He didn't carry the anger that occurred IN HIM in that moment for another 10 years and there is no reason you should be carrying a decade worth of anger inside of who you are, either.

SOMEBODY:
The Holy Spirit desires to live in you, to express Himself through you, but He refuses to live in you alongside the anger you're still carrying.

Ephesians 4:30 tells us to not grieve the Holy Spirit. So, Beloved, It's time you let go of the anger.

Ephesians 4:26 tells us not let the sun go down on our wrath which means anger is not suppose to linger overnight and certainly not for a decade.

It's time you open up, let that anger go and let the Holy Spirit show how much greater having Him inside of you can be (1 John 4:4) versus the anger that's had you bound for far too long.

Father God,
Deliver them from the past, from the anger they are still carrying.

In Jesus name,
Amen!!

Until Next Sunday.

8/16/26 "Stewarding Your Mind "

8/16/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Stewarding Your Mind"
[35] On the same day, when evening had come, Jesus said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” [36] Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. [37] And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. [38] But Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a pillow.
Mark 4:35-38 NKJV

How is possible for the disciples & Jesus to be in the same atmosphere, but be experiencing two different scenarios. The disciples were in the midst of a storm, but not Jesus...Jesus was on a pillow, asleep.

2 different experiences, 2 different scenarios going on in the same atmosphere.

Could it be that the disciples were in the midst of a storm, because it was 1st a storm in their mind?

And could it be that Jesus was asleep, because He had peace in His mind that manifested itself outwardly as rest?

Beloved,
Whatever is going on in your mind, if your mind is all over the place, if there is a lot of chaos and confusion going on in your mind, the atmosphere around you will look like what's going on in your mind.

BEFORE we are good stewards over any material thing God blesses us with...We must 1st be good stewards over our minds.

That's why the bible tells us to let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:5 KJV

This mind - there is a certain type of mind we are expected to have. We are expected to have a mind like Christ or a Christ-like mind.

A Christ- like mind is a mind controlled by categories.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8 KJV

These are categories. Ask yourself, if what you're thinking fits in any of these categories.

Is your mind full of peace like Jesus or like the disciples in Mark 4, is there a category 5 type of storm brewing behind the doors of your mind, just waiting to manifest itself?

Until Next Sunday.

8/9/26 "Don't Play Games With Me "

"Don't Play Games With Me"
[25] Then Judas, already turned traitor, said, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” Jesus said, “Don’t play games with me, Judas.”
Matthew 26:25 MSG

Judas was in Jesus' face trying to act innocent, when he wasn't innocent at all. He had ALREADY betrayed Jesus, ALREADY turned into a traitor, but yet, he wanted to know, "It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?"

He wanted to know, if he's the one Jesus was referring to earlier....To which, Jesus said, "Don't play with me, Judas!!

You see, playing games, trying to find out what you know, how much you know is nothing new. There is nothing new under the sun according to
Ecclesiastes 1:9 NIV

People like Judas have been playing games like this for far longer than you and I can remember.

What they don't understand about us, what Judas didn't understand about Jesus is that His Spirit had already warned Him.

As a Christian- a Christ-like disciple, OFTEN our Spirit warns us of what's ahead. We may suddenly feel troubled, disturbed, or agitated in spirit...That's when we need to pay close attention to what our spirit is saying and NOT choose to just dismiss it.

The bible talks about this John 13 saying how Jesus was troubled (disturbed, agitated) in spirit and (then He said to His disciples), I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, one of you will deliver Me up [one of you will be false to Me and betray Me]!
John 13:21 AMPC

Jesus called it out, AFTER He began to feel troubled, AFTER He began to feel disturbed, AFTER He began to feel agitated in spirit.

He knew it would happen, so for Judas to then, stand in Jesus' face and act like he is innocent is CRAZY!!

Why do people like to play games with us, as if we don't know? In the words of Jesus, "Don't play games with me, don't play games with us."

Pass this on to someone who really needs to think twice, BEFORE getting in your face.

Until Next Sunday.

8/2/26 "Undeserved Mercy "

8/2/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Undeserved Mercy"
[4] Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:4 NIV

Why is it so hard for us to take responsibility for the pain & suffering we caused?

We would rather blame God than to even consider for one second, that God ONLY did what He did to SAVE US!!

But the bible lets us know that it was our pain that Jesus took, it was our suffering that Jesus bore.

Today as we rise to start the day....Let us sit with the truth that we are not always innocent and that someone else's pain could very well be our fault.

Jesus' pain was our fault, but because God (the Father) loved us, He showed us undeserved mercy and Jesus ended up sacrificing  Himself for us instead.

[8] But God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 5:8 NCV

[6] When we were unable to help ourselves, at the right time, Christ died for us, although we were living against God.
Romans 5:6 NCV

So, Let us remember this and humble ourselves when it comes to how we treat others, who need the same undeserved mercy we were shown.

You and I are not innocent, but we were loved in spite of. It's time to pay that type of love, that type of undeserved mercy forward to someone else who needs it.

7/26/26 "God Is Looking At Your Heart"

"God Is Looking At Your Heart!!"
[6] When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord.” [7] But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:6-7 NIV

Instead of the popular saying,  "God knows my heart"....Have you ever wondered what God sees in your heart?

Because 1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV) says God looks at the heart.
So, What is He looking at when He sees your heart?

In 1 Samuel 16:10 NIV
[10] Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The Lord has not chosen these.”

7xs times God saw things in the heart of Jesse's 7 sons that disqualified them for the position of king and so He didn't choose them, He rejected them.

SOMEBODY:
Could the rejection you're feeling be coming from something God sees in your heart?

Has your heart disqualified you in the eyes of God for a position you really wanted?

It's time to ask God like David (after he messed up with Bathsheba) to create in ME a clean heart. Psalms 51:10

Ask God to give you a clean slate, a fresh start.

7 months from now, ask God to look at your heart again, to reconsider you for the position.

It is possible to go from being rejected like Jesse's 1st 7 sons to being accepted like David (who just happened to be Jesse's 8th son). 8 the number of new beginning.

Keep in mind, David was also said to be "a man after God's own heart."
1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22

7/19/26 "Chains Off "

7/19/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Chains Off"
[6] The very night before Herod was to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries were in front of the door guarding the prison. [7] Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared [beside him] and a light shone in the cell. The angel struck Peter’s side and awakened him, saying, “Get up quickly!” And the chains fell off his hands.
Acts 12:6-7 AMP

Notice that Peter’s hands were the 1st part of his body to get free after being chained up in prison.

SOMEBODY: The devil wants your hands to stay to bound, He wants your hands tied to too many things...Because he knows that if you ever manage to get your hands free, your hands are a powerful weapon against him.

You see, when your hands are free...
You can lift both hands as a sign of "I surrender."

Psalms 63:4 NLT
[4] I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer...That's a sign of surrender.

When your hands are free, you can clap and make a joyful noise.

Psalm 47:1 KJV
[1] O clap your hands, all ye people;
[4] Make a joyful noise unto the LORD...
Psalms 98:4 KJV

When your hands are free, you can touch & agree with someone of like faith and watch God show up.

Matthew 18:19-20 KJV
[19] Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. [20] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

When your hands are free, you can open and shut your own doors.

In 2 Kings 4:3-5 NIV
[3] Elisha said to the woman, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. [4] Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.” [5] She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons...

She closed the door behind her and her sons. She did it herself.

When your hands are free, you control the narrative, no one else. God has put the power BACK in your hands. You are free, and the devil's mad because the chains the had you bound have fallen off.

In Jesus name,
Receive!!

"Release & Relief"
[3] But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. [4] Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. [5] All the sailors were afraid and each cried out to his own god. And they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the ship....
Jonah 1:3-5 NIV

Beloved,
Don't waste time feeling guilty about what or who you had to let go of in this season to lighten your load physically and mentally.

The sailors unloaded cargo in the midst of a storm and while it didn't calm the storm, it did lighten the load their ship was carrying.

They had to do what they had to do UNTIL Jonah came forth and admitted that his disobedience to God is what was causing the storm.

UNTIL God shows you "THE JONAH" that is the cause of what you're going through, until God shows you where there has been some disobedience...Then do what you have to do unapologetically to lighten the load you're carrying physically and mentally.

Do what you can do and trust God to do the rest.

It's your season of release and relief. Some people won't understand your choices, but God...
He knows and understands that's why He said,
[28]  “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NIV

Jesus knows & understands how real life can get, the weariness, the burdens you're trying to carry.

Let Him give you rest while He does the rest of what you can't do. NOTHING -(NO THING is too hard for God).

"Stones "

#5MinutesOfFocus

 "Stones"
38 Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head.

39 David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them."I cannot go in these," he said to Saul," because I am not used to them." So he took them off.

40 Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd's bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.

41 Meanwhile, the Philistine, with his shield brearer in front of him, kept coming closer to David.

49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
1 Samuel 17:38-40, 41, 49 NIV

The Prophetic Release:
What if the stones were a representation of people? That would mean 1 out of 5 of you need to get out of people's pockets and Stop letting people use you. So what, if they can connect you to "Giants" (people whose names are BIG and carry great influence in the field you desire to break into, get into).

What if the stones were a representation of people? That would mean, You, being a stone are in the form of Jesus (who was the cornerstone the builders rejected). Acts 4:11 NIV

Beloved Stone,
You don't need people's hands on you because sooner or later, AFTER using you, they will reject you.

Meditation Points:
1. Promotion has no direction that people can see, no big name "Human" attached to it. God can shut them ALL down (including GIANTS; the way David shut that Philistine named Goliath down). Promotion comes from God alone. Psalm 75:6-7 AMP  (Amplified bible)

2. Seek To Please Him. Hebrews 11:6 AMP

Prayer:
Father God,
Give somebody the strength to say and mean, "Enough is enough!!!"
Give them the strength to get out of people's pockets and trust that in the proper time..You will aim, launch, and bring victory to them in that desired field. In Jesus name,Amen (So Be It).

"The Importance of Presentation"

#5MinutesOfFocus

"The Importance of Presentation"
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which  is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:1 NKJV

This scripture says to present your bodies... Implying that presentation in itself is important. You can't just give God anything. You can't just begrudgingly give yourself to God and think that "somehow" that honors Him.
No, presentation is important.

Think about it...When God brought Eve to Adam it was not done begrudgingly or with an unwilling attitude, but the presentation was done in such a way that instantly Adam knew:
“This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.”
Genesis 2: 23 NKJ

Therefore, when we  present our bodies to God, there should be a moment where the Father just instantly knows within Himself...

This one right here is a part of me for real, this one right here is connected to me for real. They are not playing saved, they are saved for real.

They have made the neccessary sacrifices to live holy; for I am holy
(1 Peter 1:16)...Meaning they've made some neccessary lifestyle changes, some neccessary behavior changes.

They no longer look like the world, but their sacrifice is living, daily evolving to look more like Me.

What they have presented is truly a living sacrifice not just a dead gesture they're trying to pass off as holiness, not realizing it sinks in my nostrils says God.

Beloved, We should be striving daily to be a living sacrifice that is holy & acceptable to God, striving for him to KNOW us like Adam instantly knew Eve was apart of him, the way Jesus instantly knew the woman with the issue of blood had touched him, because He felt the connection in Mark 5.

We should want, seek after that type of connection with God, now more than ever....The last thing we should ever want is to stink in His nostrils.

Happy Father's Day, God!!

6/14/26 "If Only They Knew "

6/14/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"If Only They Knew"
[28] Then they *led Jesus from Caiaphas into the Praetorium, and it was early; and they themselves did not enter into the Praetorium so that they would not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.
John 18:28 NASB 1995

The religious leaders knew that entering Pilate's (Gentile) residence would make them ceremonially unclean and prevent them from eating the Passover (taking part in the celebration). So they didn't enter, but they led Jesus there to be defiled, to be ceremonially unclean.

Beloved,
Be aware of those who don't mind defiling your character, they don't mind leading you to a place of uncleanness.

They don't mind you being labeled, they don't mind you being talked about, they don't mind you being judged... As long they get to eat and enjoy themselves.

They're SELFISH, but yet they expect you not to notice. The religious leaders of Jesus' day were selfish.

Trying to make Jesus ceremonially unclean when He was the sacrifice needed in order for the celebration, for the passover to be successful & render its blessings is CRAZY!!

I guess it's true, people don't know they need you...UNTIL they need you.

People don't know they need you...UNTIL the moment comes when only what you carry can save them.

๐Ÿ‘‰They worried about becoming unclean...
When Jesus could have made them clean (John 15:3).

๐Ÿ‘‰They worried about eating at the Passover....
When Jesus was both the Bread of Life (John 6:35) & The Passover Lamb (1 Corin 5:7).

๐Ÿ‘‰If Only They Knew who they had in their presence, who it was they were mistreating.

" The Chokehold Of Fear!!"
[38] Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” [39] He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. [40] He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"
Mark 4:38-40 NIV

BELOVED,
You can have peace in the midst of whatever is going on. There is no reason you should lose sleep over a storm that is not even yours.

Jesus wasn’t losing any sleep over the storm the disciples found themselves in.

As a matter of fact, If they hadn't called Jesus and woke Him up and got Him involved in what was going on....The same way, your family members call you and get you involved in stuff, JESUS WOULD HAVE REMAINED SLEEP.

And they had the nerve to ask Him, if He cared....YES, HE CARES, but there comes a time when (like the disciples) we must trust what He has taught us, trust His Holy Spirit that lives in us, and do what we know to do.

But STILL they proceeded to wake Jesus up and what did Jesus do?

Verse [39] He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Something the disciples could have done themselves, but they let fear get the best of them.

Jesus even said to them, Verse [40] “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

You see, By now, the disciples should have had crazy, radical faith, but they didn't. They were still walking by sight and not by faith and what they saw in the natural happening had them in a choke hold of fear?

What has you in a choke hold, a choke hold of fear?

Remember:
๐Ÿ‘‰God has not given us the spirit of fear. 2 Tim 1:7 NKJV

Remember:
๐Ÿ‘‰The bible says, As He is, so are we in this world.
1 John 4:17 NKJV

So, Why are you STILL calling on Jesus for EVERYTHING? Some things He has given you the authority to handle.

"That Eliab Spirit"
[28] When Eliab, David’s oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle.” [29] “Now what have I done?” said David. “Can’t I even speak?”
1 Samuel 17:28-29 NIV

Eliab was angry with David because David got anointed to be the next king, and he didn't.
See: 1 Samuel 16

Eliab was angry with David over something David  never asked for, angry with him over a position David had never shown any interest in, prior.

He couldn't even talk to David right because of the anger, because of the jealousy he felt towards him.

And many of you can relate to how David must have been feeling.
Verse [29] “Now what have I done?” said David. “Can’t I even speak?”

Beloved, You haven't done anything wrong and nothing you can say right now will change anything.

Like David, they are angry with you, jealous of you over something you never asked for, over a position you never pushed for, but because God sees in you, something He didn't see in them... THEY GOT A PROBLEM with you.

They're blaming you because they're confused about what happens next, confused about what's next for them, since it's obvious that they can't be YOU.

I mean, Aside from being David’s oldest brother...Who would Eliab be, if not the next king?

The answer is not for you or me to determine. That's  Eliab's problem and the problem of all those carrying an Eliab like spirit.

ENJOY THE FAVOR God has graced you to operate in, unapologetically!!

5/24/26 "At The Command Of Your Mouth "

5/24/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"At The Command Of Your Mouth"
[14] Later Elisha asked Gehazi, “What can we do for her?” Gehazi replied, “She doesn’t have a son, and her husband is an old man.” [15] “Call her back again,” Elisha told him. When the woman returned, Elisha said to her as she stood in the doorway, [16] “Next year at this time you will be holding a son in your arms!” “
2 Kings 4:14-16 NLT

Notice that Elisha didn't consult God BEFORE deciding to prophesy to the woman.

When you are in right standing with God, you can speak a thing and it will come to pass.

When you are in right standing with God, God trust your mouth. And what you speak, He performs.
Elisha in 2 Kings 4 is one of the clearest biblical examples of this truth.
---

In 2 Kings 4:16  Elisha says to her:
“Next year at this time you will be holding a son in your arms!”

 Notice what’s missing:
- No prayer
- No consultation
- No “Let me ask the Lord”
- No waiting for a word
Elisha spoke from his spirit, and God backed it.

God trusts the mouth of the righteous.
 Psalm 37:4 says:
“He will give you the desires of your heart.” Not just grant them.
He will give them, meaning He puts His desires inside you. So when you speak, you’re speaking His will without needing a meeting.

๐ŸŒพ The Shunammite Woman Story Proves That:
When you walk in right standing, when you walk in intimacy with God, your words become creative instruments.

Elisha didn’t need to ask God because God had already formed the word in his spirit.

๐Ÿ“– Other Scriptures That Confirm This Principle:

1. Job 22:28
“Thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee

.”2. Numbers 14:28
“As you have spoken in My ears, so will I do

”3. Mark 11:23
“You shall have whatsoever you say.”

4. 2 Kings 2:15
“The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.”
The mantle carried creative authority.

5. 1 Samuel 3:19
“The Lord did not let any of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.”

Elisha didn’t speak because he heard a word. He spoke because he was a word.

When your life is aligned with God, you too have the ability to become a word and prophesy it out.

So, What are waiting for? Prophesy!! Dry bones are waiting to come together at the command of your mouth.

Even though in Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) the bible says, Faith is the substance of things hoped for...Many of you are afraid to hope.

SOMEBODY:
It's not that you don't want it; you want it, but you're afraid to hope for it, because you remember the last time you got your hopes up and was let down. So, you're not too quick to hope. You're afraid to hope.

God says, It's not that what you're hoping for is wrong, it is right. SOMEBODY: IT IS RIGHT, but it's time is not yet.

Notice in 2 Kings 4: Elisha didn't just prophesy to the woman about a child, but he gave her a time. TIMING IS EVERYTHING!!

๐Ÿ‘‰You can hope all you want, but if your timing is off...

๐Ÿ‘‰Ask God for His timing. Take it off your calendar, and put it on His calendar.

What does God's calendar look like, what does His calendar sound like?

His calendar looks & sounds a lot like:

Habakkuk 2:3 NLT
[3] This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

[22] At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
Isaiah 60:22 NLT

๐Ÿ‘‰So, Beloved, Don't be afraid to hope. The woman Elisha prophesied to in 2 Kings 4 did end up having a son a year later.

๐Ÿ‘‰It's about timing.
Ask God for His timing.

๐Ÿ‘‰Sometimes, We get in our own way, hoping for something and basing it on when the world says we are ready for it or when the people around us, family members say we should have had it already.

๐Ÿ‘‰Don't do that, but definitely hope. Make God your partner in hope. Consult Him & Not THEM.
Amen!!

Dedicated To: My Mothers - Mrs. Corine Gholar, Mrs. Essie Gholar-Washington, and Mrs. Roysennia Hosey ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ•Š

And To ALL the Mothers, Grandmothers out there STILL doing the work, putting in the hours, doing the job.

"Imagine"
[25] Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
John 19:25 NIV

Imagine Mary (the mother of Jesus) near the cross that day, watching Jesus suffer.

Imagine watching your child go through something (as a mother) and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

Imagine your child being mocked.
Jesus was mocked in Matt 27:27-31

Imagine your child (as a mother) being bullied and there is no one you can report it to, that would even care to hear the truth.

Imagine your child being grown and not saying anything about what they're going through.

Imagine your child being grown and CHOOSING to stay in their current circumstances. Jesus chose the cross!! ✝️

Imagine (as a mother) being forced to respect your grown child's wishes, even though it's not what you would have wanted for them.
Mary had no choice, she had to except that the cross was something Jesus had to bear.

Imagine your child (grown or not), crying out because they feel foraken, because they feel abandoned by their father.
From the cross, Jesus cried out:
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Psalms 22:1 NIV

Now, Imagine (as a mother) standing in the gap for your child in more ways than they could ever imagine.

Imagine being Mary (the mother of Jesus) that day near the cross.

Imagine it being your life, your child from day to day....
Because for many of you... This is your reality.

There are women who could never carry the type of cross you're carrying with such grace.

๐Ÿ’œ Happy Mother's Day!! ๐Ÿ’œ

5/3/26 "Think Again!!"

5/3/26

"Think Again!!"
[6] When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. [7] Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. [8] Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. [9] But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” [10] He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” [11] And God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
Genesis 3:6-11 NIV

Beloved,
There isn't anything wrong with what you want to do...It just hasn't been GOD APPROVED.

 So, The question is:
Are you willing to take a chance on something GOD NEVER APPROVED OF, just because it looks good, just because you know there isn't anything technically wrong with what you want to do?

When Eve saw that fruit was good, saw there wasn't anything wrong with it....That's exactly what she did. She went for it, she took a chance and ate what looked good to her and she even went so far as to give some to her husband, and he ate it. He wasn't deceived (Read:
1 Tim 2:14 KJV), but because he loved his wife....HE KNEW BETTER and yet he sinned.

If you're thinking about doing something because it looks good to you or you're thinking about doing something because you love that person....THINK AGAIN!!

[23] “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.
1 Corinthians 10:23 NIV

So, Think Again!!
Going for what looked good or doing it because of love COST BOTH Adam & Eve dearly:
๐Ÿ‘‰They went from being comfortable in their own skin to being fearful.
๐Ÿ‘‰They went from trusting God to trying to hide their sin from God.
๐Ÿ‘‰They went from being supernaturally clothed in grace to being naked (exposed) and in need of God's mercy.

All because what they did was not GOD APPROVED....
Think Again!! Is it really worth the risk?

4/26/26 "At His Feet"

4/26/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"At His Feet"
[39] Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught.
[40] But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” [41] But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! [42] There is only one thing worth being concerned about....
Luke 10:39-42 NLT

How would you feel, if God told you all that worrying you're doing right now is unnecessary?

As a matter of fact, out of everything that has your attention right now, ONLY ONE thing is needed.

Don't get mad because that other person chose not to do everything you're doing. Instead, Learn how to protect your peace.

It's easy to get distracted, to get busy, to get overwhelmed and worried and start trying to blame others....

When all God wants is for you to slow down, sit at His feet and realize that only one thing out of every thing you're doing is needed.

In other words, much of what you're doing can wait. Like Martha, you're worried and upset over details that really do seem so small, when compared to what's really important.

Sit at His feet and learn from Him how to protect your peace, how to be at peace even though, the world, itself is not peaceful.  Sit at His feet and learn to be content like Apostle Paul said.
He let the Philippian church know in Philippians 4:11 (NIV)
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

To be content whatever the circumstances that type of peace takes maturity. You have to be grown (for real) to understand that type of peace.

So, Go sit at His feet and grow in maturity!!

๐Ÿ‘‰It's time to be at peace.
๐Ÿ‘‰It's time to be content whatever the circumstances.

Until Next Sunday.

4/19/26 "Thankful For The Scars"

4/19/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Thankful For The Scars"
[24-25] But Thomas, sometimes called the Twin, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples told him, “We saw the Master.” But he said, “Unless I see the nail holes in his hands, put my finger in the nail holes, and stick my hand in his side, I won’t believe it.” [26] Eight days later, his disciples were again in the room. This time Thomas was with them. Jesus came through the locked doors, stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.” [27] Then he focused his attention on Thomas. “Take your finger and examine my hands. Take your hand and stick it in my side. Don’t be unbelieving. Believe.”
John 20:24-27 MSG

BELOVED,
What you went through was not just for you... It's left scars for a reason.

You were meant to be a walking testimony, the answer to someone else's doubt, just like Jesus was the answer to Thomas' doubt.

You were meant to go out your way to help build someone else's faith. There is no such thing as it don't take all that.

If Jesus could go out of His way to be there for Thomas, go out of His way to focus on Thomas....Who are you to say, you can't be there for that person who is showing signs that they need you?

You have been picked, chosen to be the one that can reach that person. Jesus went back a 2nd time to a house He had just visited 8 days prior (8 means New Beginning).
He went back because He knew without Him, Thomas would never believe what the other disciples were telling him.

๐Ÿ‘‰What if you are the key ๐Ÿ”‘ to that person's new beginning?
๐Ÿ‘‰What if their faith will never be full without you?
๐Ÿ‘‰What if they can't believe them, but for some reason they will believe it, if it comes from you?
๐Ÿ‘‰Can you sacrifice some of your time, and go back a 2nd time for them?
๐Ÿ‘‰If not for them, do for it Jesus. Show them your scars, even if you scars still feel to you like open wounds.

Until Next Sunday,

4/12/26 "Don't Feel Bad "

4/12/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Don't Feel Bad"
[3] When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. [4] Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” [5] So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. [6] Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” [7] Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
Acts 3:3-7 NIV

Don't feel bad because you gave what you had,
and it was nothing like what they asked for.

Don't feel bad because sometimes, the person asking for help has no idea what they really need.

Money answers all things (Ecclesiates 10:19 KJV), but no where in the bible does it say or even imply that money fixes all things.

There's a noticeable difference between answering and fixing an issue.

If I pick up the phone when you call....That's me answering, but if God blesses me to fix what you didn't even know was the main source of your problem?

Which one serves the greater good?

Well, That's what Peter & John did when they were approached by a cripple beggar on their way into The Temple.

They gave him what they had and it wasn't money because silver and gold was something they didn't have.

Instead, They helped the cripple beggar to get back up on his feet, and that's nothing to feel bad about.

You helped them to get back up on their feet, you helped them reclaim their self- esteem, you help them stop begging.

What more can a person really desire?
You helped them start over using what you had.

So, One more time, God wants me to tell you... Don't feel bad. It's actually a good thing that you didn't have what they asked for.  It was a good thing Peter and John didn't have what that crippled beggar asked for because what was needed was so much deeper and life-changing than money in itself could ever be.

Think About it and keep giving what you have, when you can.
You are making a difference in somebody's life.

Until Next Sunday.
