"You Need To Heal"

While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?” Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

(Now) when they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him...He put them all out....

Mark 5:35‭-‬42 NIV

A Word 4 SOMEBODY:

God is allowing you to heal in private because He knows that's what you need; away from what people are saying, away from the "death sentence" they have spoken over your life.

God is allowing you to heal emotionally, heal mentally. You've been through enough. NO MORE COMMOTION, surrounding you .NO MORE PEOPLE surrounding you who do not understand what it means to walk by faith and NOT by sight. 2 Corin 5:7 KJV

They were just carelessly believing EVERYTHING they saw and lauging at Jesus for having a different perspective. So, He put them out.

He cleared the way for Jairus' 12  year old daughter to be healed right there in the privacy of her own home.  

And God is doing the same thing for you now. He's putting some people out; clearing the way so that you can heal. 

You need to heal. Stop looking for them, they won't be around; you need to heal.

"Stop Following People"

7 Therefore she (Naomi) went out from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.

8 And Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go, return each to her mother’s house. The Lord deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me.

Ruth 1:7‭-‬8 NKJV

Huh??? Imagine being on the road (in the middle of a road trip) and the person you came with suddenly tells you to go back home, return to your mother's house.

It just seems like a Judah road trip was a decision Naomi made and her daughters-in-law just up and followed...

It also feels like at one point... Ruth was the only one REALLY SURE of her next move as she vowed that Naomi's God would now be her God and where Noami goes she would be there too.

(See Ruth 1:16-18 NIV)

Because we see from the text that Naomi at some point changed her mind (for whatever reason) and told her daughters-in -law to return each to her mother's house.

This is why, It's so important that EVERYTHING you agree to, be a decision YOU made and NOT a decision someone else made for you. 

God never called you to be a follower of people and it doesn't matter if that person is OLD like Naomi or YOUNG like Ruth...But as a follower of Christ, You are to let the Holy Spirit lead you at all times.

Why? Because people will change their mind a zillion times, not sure of what's best for you or even themselves...

But God!!

The bible says:

It's the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go...NOT PEOPLE!!

Isaiah 48:17 NIV

3/13/22 "I'm Annoyed'

"I'm Annoyed"

The bible says:  

Don't be annoyed by anyone who does wrong, and don't envy them. They will soon disappear like grass without rain.

Psalms 37:1‭-‬2 CEV

I think many of us have matured to the point that we no longer envy sinners... 

But we do get annoyed.. We get annoyed because we can see the wrong they're doing and it looks Ike they're getting away with it.

Still, the latter part of Psalms 37:2 (CEV) reveals a different scenario. It says, "They will soon disappear like grass without rain." 

Okay...Without rain, we know that nothing can grow, produce, or refresh itself.There must be rain, or some type of water attached to its existence. 

But here's the thing...Water in the bible represents THE WORD OF GOD which means that as long as that  person who is doing wrong remains WORD- less, remains GOD- less there will be no real progress in their life, despite how things currently look to you and me.

So, Today, my friend....

Be encouraged.

It's NOT at all what it looks like.There's another day coming and on that day...

They're going to have to pay for EVERY thing they have done.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

2 Corinthians 5:10 NIV

There will be NO ESCAPING payback...and no, it's not karma. It's just the bible making good on a promise. 

God says, I promise you they are not getting away.

3/6/22 "No Closure Needed "

" No Closure Needed"

She kept the cloak with her until her husband came home. Then she told him her story. “That Hebrew slave you’ve brought into our house tried to come in and fool around with me,” she said. “But when I screamed, he ran outside, leaving his cloak with me!”

Genesis 39:16‭-‬18 NLT

This is the LIE that Potiphar's wife told her husband and EVERYBODY who would listen. This is the LIE that got Joseph sent to prison. This is the LIE that tried to destroy him.

Many of you know exactly what I'm talking about because there was a LIE being spread about you, a LIE that tried to destroy you...BUT GOD!!

GOD turned the weapon that had formed around for your good. (See Isaiah 54:17 & Rom 8:28)

GOD turned the weapon that had formed around so good for Joseph that when he got out of prison...

He was promoted into a new  career, into a new life (Genesis 41). He had found a new sense of purpose and felt no need to go and confront Potiphar's wife or his brothers (who had wronged him) or anyone else. See Genesis 37). He no longer needed closure. 

Why? Because he finally understood what all the dreams he kept having prior to coming to Egypt were about.

God was preparing him, training him to serve without expecting anything back from those he would serve.

God was preparing him, training him to love unconditionally when it comes to his family and their behavior.

And I pray you finally understand what God has been trying to show you and you realize you don't need closure for them either.

In the end, God had and he STILL has a plan that will greatly benefit you and all connected to you.

Genesis 50:19-21
