"GO"

Sometimes, God has to get you AWAY FROM HOME to tell you what He could have told you at home, had you not been distracted.

So, Now Genesis 12 makes perfect sense.

In Genesis 12: The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.  “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
Genesis 12:1‭-‬2 NIV

Beloved, There are some things God wants to tell you, some things He wants to show you, but He can't....

Not along as you're around certain family members, not as long as you remain a part of that household-which means you're in close contact with them.

So, Abram had to just up and  leave; go and trust God to show him his next move.

Some of you must do the same.
Otherwise, you will never be great (they won't let you be great)...You will never have all God's wants you to have, hanging around them.

They are a distraction to you, a distraction to your destiny....

As Abram himself would soon discover. You see, Abram allowed his nephew, Lot to come with  him ...EVEN THOUGH, God had clearly stated,  "Go from your country, YOUR PEOPLE and your father's household. "

Beloved, Sort of obeying God is STILL disobedience to God.

And that's why He can't trust you to reveal any more that He has already to you.

There were things, God couldn't show Abram because Lot was around, but as soon as he parted ways with Lot...God did the BIG REVEAL (so to speak).
Read: Genesis 13:14-17 AMP

So, Hear Me: For the sake of your destiny, if you really want to lay hold of what God has for you...

Go, Leave, Separate Yourself from whoever God tells you to.Obey Him completely, even if it's family.

Until  Next Sunday.

"Warned"

Hannah had a husband that loved her unconditionally, whether she had his child or not.

Hannah had a husband who would share with her what he had financially without being asked.

He just freely gave Hannah a double portion of what he had. Because he loved her.
1 Samuel 1:5 (NIV)

And because he loved her, He tried to understand how she was feeling. Though, there was no way he possibly could, still he tried.

Her husband, Elkanah would say to her, “Hannah, why are you weeping? Why don’t you eat? Why are you downhearted? Don’t I mean more to you than ten sons?”
1 Samuel 1:8 NIV

Looking at Hannah's life from the perspective I just carefully layed out for you...

It would seem that Hannah had the best husband, the best marriage, the best life and that's exactly WHAT I WANTED you to think.

See how easy it was for me to manipulate your thinking?

Beloved, If you're not careful social media will manipulate your thinking, manipulate you into thinking that  person's life is better than it really is.

I'm here to warn you... Don't waste your time being  jealous or envious of a lot of the stuff you see posted on social media.

When in reality, Like Hannah (some of them) are not even the only female in the relationship....

Hannah was not Elkanah's one & only...He also was married to Peninnah and had children by her (which was the accepted custom in those days). So, it was not like he was cheating, but still...

There was another person involved and she had made herself Hannah's rival, tormenting Hannah relentlessly because she had no children by Elkanah.

So, Again don't be jealous or envious of what you see on social media...You don't know the FULL behind the scenes story of that person's life.

That's why comparing ourselves to others is not wise.
2 Corin 10:12 NIV

For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.
James 3:16 AMPC

And let's face it...That kind of behavior looks cute on NO ONE.
You've  been warned.

Until Next Sunday.

"The Road Back"

3-5  Naomi's husband, (Elimelech) died leaving her with two sons. The sons took Moabite wives...They lived there in Moab for the next ten years. But then (her two sons) Mahlon & Kilion also, died.

6-7 One day (Naomi) got herself together, she and her two daughters-in-law, to leave the country of Moab and set out for home; she had heard that God had been pleased to visit his people and give them food. And so she started out from the place she had been living, she and her two daughters-in-law with her, on the road back to the land of Judah.
Ruth 1:3‭-‬7 MSG

One day she got herself together (along with her daughter in laws) and headed back to Judah which means praise.

That's powerful...Because it takes a lot to get yourself together, after having suffered so much loss.

Perhaps, That's where some of you are mentally. After suffering so much loss, you've finally made up your mind to just do it, get back to a place where things were healthier for you, back to a time when you were happy with no strings attached.

SOMEBODY: Like Naomi, you're trying your hardest to get back to Judah; get back to a place of praise...

But the road back has not been easy....Seems like the more you try to praise God, the more the devil fights you, attacks you.

Because praising God says that you remember God and all He has done for you, in spite of what you're currently going through.

Psalm 42:5 MSG
Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God— soon I’ll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He’s my God.

But instead of a smile on your face praising God, the devil wants you to stay sad, to stay depressed, to stay emotionally tied to everything  you've lost.

Beloved, there is no denying your loss or the things you've lost. But praise is a fruitful place...

It's where Naomi was trying to get back to, so she could get the food, get the nourishment she needed.

What is it you need?
Don't let the devil trick out of your praise.

He knows what praise has the power to unlock for you. That's why the road back hasn't been easy.

Until Next Sunday.

"Warrior Mom"

A man from the family of Levi married a Levite woman. The woman became pregnant and had a son. She saw there was something special about him and hid him. She hid him for three months. When she couldn’t hide him any longer she got a little basket-boat made of papyrus, waterproofed it with tar and pitch, and placed the child in it. Then she set it afloat in the reeds at the edge of the Nile.
Exodus 2:1‭-‬3 MSG

👉 Notice: The text doesn't say anything about the father seeing something special in the child.

👉 It was Moses' mother who saw something special in him, saw there was something special about him and did all she could to protect him from Pharaoh (who had ordered that ALL male babies be killed at birth).
Exodus 1:15

You see, It's in a mother's nature to protect her child at any cost.

The mother bear (for example) has always been the quintessential example of a mother's love, and this is mainly because  of their fierce, protective nature.

👉 It is a widely accepted belief that the most dangerous place to be is between a mother bear and her cub.

👉 As the author N.K. Jemisin has said, "There is no greater warrior than a mother protecting her child."

👉 In the text, Moses' mother was in WARRIOR MODE; doing what she had to do to protect her child, even though it would eventually mean her, being separated from him. STILL, she did what she thought was best.

As I'm sure, every mother reading this can testify...You can testify to doing what you thought was best for your child...You can tell of the many sacrifices you've had to make over the years.

Some sacrifices they don't even know about... Because you kept a smile on your face and just endured with grace; praying like Hannah to the point that you had NO AUDIBLE WORDS left.
1 Samuel 1:12-13 ERV

And that's exactly why you deserve to be praised today.... Your children should call you blessed, because you have truly been a blessing to them, IN SPITE OF what it meant for you or what it cost you.
Proverbs 31:27-29 NIV

Happy Mother's Day!!! 💛

Until Next Sunday.

"Remove Me"

Sometimes I ask God, my rock-solid God, “Why did you let me down? Why am I walking around in tears, harassed by enemies?”
Psalm 42:9‭-‬10 MSG

SOMEBODY right now:
You know exactly how that feels...Because currently you don't understand how you can be harrassed by enemies and God just be silent. How you can be walking around with tears in your eyes and still nothing.

If God is compassionate...
Where is His compassion now you ask?

 Yet the bible says:
The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
Psalms 145:9 NIV

Just imagine, if God were to speak audibly to you (which is highly unlikely) in this season...The world would consider that cheating.

And cheaters when they're caught get removed from test.
You don't want that!

👉 It's the testing of the Lord that sets you up for a possible promotion from the Lord.

👉 Think With Me:
The bible says: Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord TESTED Joseph’s character.
Psalms 105:19 NLT

So, That means the pit (being thrown in at the hands of his brothers) was a character test. Gen 37

Being sold into slavery & forced away from home at a young age was all a character test. Gen 37

And so was being sent to prison for something he didn't do. It was a character test. Gen 39

Each test taught Joseph:

• Hurt heals.

• Forgiveness is necessary for your own mental freedom, necessary for your own peace of mind.

• When you're a dreamer, you might not recognize your promotion at 1st.

👉 Being in Egypt didn't look or feel like a promotion for a long time after so much had happened.

👉 Jealousy/envy are real even in those that are suppose to be family.

THE ONLY person he really had to depend on was THE LORD.

👉 The Lord kept making things work out in Joseph's favor, despite his unfavorable surroundings.

👉 Til finally, His dream. Joseph became Governor of Egypt.
Gen 41

So, What am I saying?
I'm saying, Hold on thru the test, learn from it, pass it, and get your promotion. You don't really want to be removed from the test...You just think you do, because you're a little weary right now.

Until Next Sunday.
