8/23/26 "Are You Still Angry?"

"Are You Still Angry?"
[5] For His anger is but for a moment....
Psalms 30:5 NKJV

"For His anger is but for a moment." The 1st 8 words of Psalms 30:5 are powerful.

It's a reminder that anger that is associated with God or the God kind of anger doesn't last for a decade.

So, Those of you still angry over something that happened 10 years ago or longer...That's not Godly anger.

"A moment" in Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) refers to the Hebrew word רֶגַע — rega, which means an instant, a very brief, passing point in time.

God’s anger — lasts only rega, the smallest imaginable unit of time.

The perfect example of Godly anger is when Jesus went into The Temple and turned over the tables and put an end to what was going on in there. Matthew 21:12-13 NIV

Jesus did what He had to do. Then He let it go!! He didn't carry the anger that occurred IN HIM in that moment for another 10 years and there is no reason you should be carrying a decade worth of anger inside of who you are, either.

SOMEBODY:
The Holy Spirit desires to live in you, to express Himself through you, but He refuses to live in you alongside the anger you're still carrying.

Ephesians 4:30 tells us to not grieve the Holy Spirit. So, Beloved, It's time you let go of the anger.

Ephesians 4:26 tells us not let the sun go down on our wrath which means anger is not suppose to linger overnight and certainly not for a decade.

It's time you open up, let that anger go and let the Holy Spirit show how much greater having Him inside of you can be (1 John 4:4) versus the anger that's had you bound for far too long.

Father God,
Deliver them from the past, from the anger they are still carrying.

In Jesus name,
Amen!!

8/16/26 "Stewarding Your Mind "

8/16/26

"Stewarding Your Mind"
[35] On the same day, when evening had come, Jesus said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” [36] Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. [37] And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. [38] But Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a pillow.
Mark 4:35-38 NKJV

How is possible for the disciples & Jesus to be in the same atmosphere, but be experiencing two different scenarios. The disciples were in the midst of a storm, but not Jesus...Jesus was on a pillow, asleep.

2 different experiences, 2 different scenarios going on in the same atmosphere.

Could it be that the disciples were in the midst of a storm, because it was 1st a storm in their mind?

And could it be that Jesus was asleep, because He had peace in His mind that manifested itself outwardly as rest?

Beloved,
Whatever is going on in your mind, if your mind is all over the place, if there is a lot of chaos and confusion going on in your mind, the atmosphere around you will look like what's going on in your mind.

BEFORE we are good stewards over any material thing God blesses us with...We must 1st be good stewards over our minds.

That's why the bible tells us to let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:5 KJV

This mind - there is a certain type of mind we are expected to have. We are expected to have a mind like Christ or a Christ-like mind.

A Christ- like mind is a mind controlled by categories.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8 KJV

These are categories. Ask yourself, if what you're thinking fits in any of these categories.

Is your mind full of peace like Jesus or like the disciples in Mark 4, is there a category 5 type of storm brewing behind the doors of your mind, just waiting to manifest itself?

Until Next Sunday.

8/9/26 "Don't Play Games With Me "

8/9/26

"Don't Play Games With Me"
[25] Then Judas, already turned traitor, said, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” Jesus said, “Don’t play games with me, Judas.”
Matthew 26:25 MSG

Judas was in Jesus' face trying to act innocent, when he wasn't innocent at all. He had ALREADY betrayed Jesus, ALREADY turned into a traitor, but yet, he wanted to know, "It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?"

He wanted to know, if he's the one Jesus was referring to earlier....To which, Jesus said, "Don't play with me, Judas!!

You see, playing games, trying to find out what you know, how much you know is nothing new. There is nothing new under the sun according to
Ecclesiastes 1:9 NIV

People like Judas have been playing games like this for far longer than you and I can remember.

What they don't understand about us, what Judas didn't understand about Jesus is that His Spirit had already warned Him.

As a Christian- a Christ-like disciple, OFTEN our Spirit warns us of what's ahead. We may suddenly feel troubled, disturbed, or agitated in spirit...That's when we need to pay close attention to what our spirit is saying and NOT choose to just dismiss it.

The bible talks about this John 13 saying how Jesus was troubled (disturbed, agitated) in spirit and (then He said to His disciples), I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, one of you will deliver Me up [one of you will be false to Me and betray Me]!
John 13:21 AMPC

Jesus called it out, AFTER He began to feel troubled, AFTER He began to feel disturbed, AFTER He began to feel agitated in spirit.

He knew it would happen, so for Judas to then, stand in Jesus' face and act like he is innocent is CRAZY!!

Why do people like to play games with us, as if we don't know? In the words of Jesus, "Don't play games with me, don't play games with us."

Pass this on to someone who really needs to think twice, BEFORE getting in your face.

Until Next Sunday.

8/2/26 "Undeserved Mercy "

8/2/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Undeserved Mercy"
[4] Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:4 NIV

Why is it so hard for us to take responsibility for the pain & suffering we caused?

We would rather blame God than to even consider for one second, that God ONLY did what He did to SAVE US!!

But the bible lets us know that it was our pain that Jesus took, it was our suffering that Jesus bore.

Today as we rise to start the day....Let us sit with the truth that we are not always innocent and that someone else's pain could very well be our fault.

Jesus' pain was our fault, but because God (the Father) loved us, He showed us undeserved mercy and Jesus ended up sacrificing  Himself for us instead.

[8] But God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 5:8 NCV

[6] When we were unable to help ourselves, at the right time, Christ died for us, although we were living against God.
Romans 5:6 NCV

So, Let us remember this and humble ourselves when it comes to how we treat others, who need the same undeserved mercy we were shown.

You and I are not innocent, but we were loved in spite of. It's time to pay that type of love, that type of undeserved mercy forward to someone else who needs it.

7/26/26 "God Is Looking At Your Heart"

7/26/26

"God Is Looking At Your Heart!!"
[6] When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord.” [7] But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:6-7 NIV

Instead of the popular saying,  "God knows my heart"....Have you ever wondered what God sees in your heart?

Because 1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV) says God looks at the heart.
So, What is He looking at when He sees your heart?

In 1 Samuel 16:10 NIV
[10] Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The Lord has not chosen these.”

7xs times God saw things in the heart of Jesse's 7 sons that disqualified them for the position of king and so He didn't choose them, He rejected them.

SOMEBODY:
Could the rejection you're feeling be coming from something God sees in your heart?

Has your heart disqualified you in the eyes of God for a position you really wanted?

It's time to ask God like David (after he messed up with Bathsheba) to create in ME a clean heart. Psalms 51:10

Ask God to give you a clean slate, a fresh start.

7 months from now, ask God to look at your heart again, to reconsider you for the position.

It is possible to go from being rejected like Jesse's 1st 7 sons to being accepted like David (who just happened to be Jesse's 8th son). 8 the number of new beginning.

Keep in mind, David was also said to be "a man after God's own heart."
1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22

Change Is Possible!!

Here's to a fresh start, a new beginning. 🥂

7/19/26 "Chains Off "

7/19/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Chains Off"
[6] The very night before Herod was to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries were in front of the door guarding the prison. [7] Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared [beside him] and a light shone in the cell. The angel struck Peter’s side and awakened him, saying, “Get up quickly!” And the chains fell off his hands.
Acts 12:6-7 AMP

Notice that Peter’s hands were the 1st part of his body to get free after being chained up in prison.

SOMEBODY: The devil wants your hands to stay to bound, He wants your hands tied to too many things...Because he knows that if you ever manage to get your hands free, your hands are a powerful weapon against him.

You see, when your hands are free...
You can lift both hands as a sign of "I surrender."

Psalms 63:4 NLT
[4] I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer...That's a sign of surrender.

When your hands are free, you can clap and make a joyful noise.

Psalm 47:1 KJV
[1] O clap your hands, all ye people;
[4] Make a joyful noise unto the LORD...
Psalms 98:4 KJV

When your hands are free, you can touch & agree with someone of like faith and watch God show up.

Matthew 18:19-20 KJV
[19] Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. [20] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

When your hands are free, you can open and shut your own doors.

In 2 Kings 4:3-5 NIV
[3] Elisha said to the woman, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. [4] Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.” [5] She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons...

She closed the door behind her and her sons. She did it herself.

When your hands are free, you control the narrative, no one else. God has put the power BACK in your hands. You are free, and the devil's mad because the chains the had you bound have fallen off.

In Jesus name,
Receive!!

7/12/26 "Release & Relief"

7/12/26

#5MinutesOfFocus

"Release & Relief"
[3] But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. [4] Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. [5] All the sailors were afraid and each cried out to his own god. And they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the ship....
Jonah 1:3-5 NIV

Beloved,
Don't waste time feeling guilty about what or who you had to let go of in this season to lighten your load physically and mentally.

The sailors unloaded cargo in the midst of a storm and while it didn't calm the storm, it did lighten the load their ship was carrying.

They had to do what they had to do UNTIL Jonah came forth and admitted that his disobedience to God is what was causing the storm.

UNTIL God shows you "THE JONAH" that is the cause of what you're going through, until God shows you where there has been some disobedience...Then do what you have to do unapologetically to lighten the load you're carrying physically and mentally.

Do what you can do and trust God to do the rest.

It's your season of release and relief. Some people won't understand your choices, but God...
He knows and understands that's why He said,
[28]  “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NIV

Jesus knows & understands how real life can get, the weariness, the burdens you're trying to carry.

Let Him give you rest while He does the rest of what you can't do. NOTHING -(NO THING is too hard for God).
Jeremiah 32:17 NIV
